How to avoid a DUI arrest: Don’t wear a shirt or mask while driving
AUSTIN, Texas — A woman who was pulled over for speeding on Interstate 35E was charged with DUI after police found the woman in the driver’s seat and the passenger seat of her car, according to court records.
Court documents show Ashley Rizzo, 35, was pulled out of her Honda Accord and taken into custody after the woman was stopped on Sunday morning on the highway for a routine traffic stop, police said.
Rizzo told police she had gone to work and was in the parking lot of the grocery store on I-35E when she saw a man who looked like he was in his 20s and 30s sitting in the front passenger seat, court records state.
The driver’s side window was smashed, according the documents.
Rizzos window was shattered, too.
The passenger’s side was also shattered, according documents.
Rizos license plate number was also found on the driver.
Police said they arrested Rizzoes boyfriend and another man after they discovered Rizzoos vehicle, court documents state.
Court records show the man, whose name was not released, is also facing DUI charges.
Riazos bail was set at $100,000.
Ritzos bond was set in the case at $2,500.
She was released from jail Monday and was scheduled to appear in court again on Monday.
